Disappointed About the Whole Closing
Our closing was scheduled and completed on 12-17-14 but we were notified on 12-31-14 that the closing was NOT accepted by the underwriters because the seller (who is from Ireland) did not meet their standards for properly signing the closing paperwork. To make a long story short, we were scheduled to close again on January 8, 2015. I felt that the communication between all parties was haphazard and important details were missing between seller and the title company, which could have prevented this fiasco. This mistake is costing me a lot more in taxes because the closing went from 2014 into 2015!
Antony's Tip: Choose a different title company than Clear Title!

Terrible
My experience with FBC mortgage was incredibly disappointing. Carl and his leadership team did not make me believe that anyone in the process actually knew what they were doing. It was a rough, bumpy and terrible process that Carl royally screwed up....even though our problem could have been remedied three weeks prior to closing, FBC didn't realize they had our information wrong until 4:00 PM on our closing day. I would NEVER recommend FBC to anyone. The dysfunction and poor customer service is dispicable, and as a company, you should be ashamed.

Lots of Red Tape
This was the most stressful process I have endured although I have purchased a home twice before. There was documentation this company was asking for that other loan companies was not requesting I know this because I have a friend and a couple of my colleagues purchasing property at the same time I was & they all said no I did not have to submit that info. I just knew this whole process could of been much more simple then what I was subjective to my this financial institution. I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone.
Hope's Tip: Do not use this institution for your financial needs.

GREAT TEAM!
Carl and his team are by far the best! We purchased our first home and couldn't have been more impressed by the attention to detail and how we felt as if we were the only ones they were working with. The took a real interest in seeing that we were happy and were excited to have us purchase our first home. We had a hiccup before closing that was no fault of our own or FBC, but they sure stepped up the plate and pulled out all the stops (Thank you Lynne for working the weekend!!) to make sure we got our home!
