Super Happy!
After the market crash in 2008 I was not sure I would ever own a home again. Greg was fantastic in making that happen for me. He was super pleasant every time I spoke with him which towards the end was a lot. I Would recommend him all day long. House buying is stressful and he eased my pain immensely . So happy it is over but would go through it with Greg any day!

Endless paperwork
I felt that this was an experience I would like to avoid in the future. I'm unsure of where the problem originated from...didn't seem as though the loan officer was the problem..I'm sure my situation was a little unusual, But it seemed as if the same information was requested several times. If a list would have been provided once, the process would have been much easier. Possibly this is the new norm? If it is I feel sorry for the mortgage business because I feel many people will only go thru this process once and I know I will try alternative financing options in the future. 100+ pages to close?

FBC Stands for "F**ing Bad Choice"
First, this review in no way reflects on my loan officer, who was the only bright spot in the process. The underwriters is where I have the problem. My wife and I have credit scores around 800, no debt, and an income that makes the loan ratios a no-brainer. Despite this, throughout the process, FBC underwriters were disorganized, amateurish, and arbitrary. We would send documents that they didn't read until the last day or two, causing delays. They would keep requesting documents we had already sent. They didn't anticipate issues at closing that they should have known about. They made ridiculous requests that our loan officer had to argue against -- because they had nothing to do with lending requirements. At closing, our broker and title company also commented on how absolutely awful and unprofessional the underwriters are. They would make simple issues at other banks a huge problem, like a simple hold harmless clause that was needed. In our home we now says, "Don't make an FBC," meaning don't make a "F****ing bad Choice." I recommend that you don't either. Note: I want to emphasize again that our loan officer Greg did the best he could and was very supportive. Knowing what I know about FBC, they will probably misinterpret this review and blame him. This company comes across to me as a very poorly run organization!
Andrew's Tip: Find another lender with a more organized, professional, and efficient underwriting process. It is worth paying a higher interest rate to avoid their horrible process.

Greg Balawajder and Josh Daugherty were exceptional in their very quick response time when it came to questions or concerns about our loan. Greg always communicated all/any issues that arose along the way and kept us up to date with the handlings of loan. Although buying a home is stressful and sometimes a long process, Greg made it easier by making us aware of "bumps in the road" in advance so we were prepared. We made offers on several properties over the course of five months so we went through 3 different loan processors during that time. This was a little frustrating at times because I had to repeat things, I was asked to resubmit documents I had already submitted, and was given conflicting information. However, all loan processors were very courteous and genuinely helpful. Overall we are very happy with our experience and would recommend Greg and Josh to anyone looking to purchase a home.

Exceptional service and promptness from Application to Appraisal to Closing
Mr. Balawajder was exceptional in completing and providing necessary documents, from application to providing notice of and acceptance of necessary loan documents, including such things as proof of income, and insurance and providing closing documents with necessary amendments. Several times I submitted forms in the evening and he would acknowledge receipt as late as 8pm in the evening.
Michael's Tip: FNBC is one of the largest lenders in Florida, they are in the mortgage business and strive to be the best at it. As example, they provided and encouraged the completion of a customer satisfaction survey to review how their lending staff performed with a request for recommendations. They are exceptional lenders having top notch if not the best of educated loan officers, which in my opinion, as a lawyer, made are loan application process the best experience I could expect.
