Helpful Staff, Smooth Loan Process
From step one with the loan originator, to the loan processor, to the underwriters, my experience was painless and pretty easy. Everyone involved in processing my FHA loan was helpful and patient with me when I needed a little extra explanation about certain items/steps. Considering that I never met anyone at FBC, it still felt like I was getting the kind of attention I'd expect from a personal visit to my bank. I never felt like just another body in a long line, which makes a big difference when you're committing to this kind of purchase. Thank you to everyone at FBC!

Awesome Experience
We found Barbara through a referral after our lender at the time.e discovered we could not do a USDA loan. Barbara helped us to take advantage of a First Time Home Buyer program, so closing was great because I did not have to bring any money. Most importantly, Barbara and the FBC Mortgage team delivered the closing g date they promised. She was always available for questions, and never made me feel like I was interrupting her day or an inconvenience. This has been an absolutely wonderful experience.

First home purchase process
Overall, going with FBC was a good choice. Barbara Dini is SO patient and was always willing to answer the hundreds of questions I had. She guided us through the process and with her help we were able to close on time. one of my complaints is that phone calls are not answered in a timely manner, especially not at the end of the month when they are busy with closings. Also, I think it is very tough on the buyer to have to wait until one day prior to the closing date to find out if your loan is fully approved. We had a scare two days before our closing date in which I got a call saying that we may not be able to close because our income was over the limit needed for the bond program we were using. this should have been looked at from the beginning, not two days before our closing date. Thankfully Barb was able to make it work and we closed on time.

My experience with FBC was nothing short of perfect. I had a lot of obstacles in the way of closing on my dream home and Barb Dini and Loni Smith knew exactly how to help me through the process. Loan Officer was Great, Not Impressed with the underwriters
Being a first time home buyer, I was given lots of advice and what to expect during the home buying process. When dealing with Barbara Dini, I was pleasantly surprised to find the process quite smooth. She was great, understanding, knowledgeable, and responsive to any question I had. She advised me from the start to be sure and respond with any requested information or documents quickly or it could hold up the process. I did so with every request. However, once my file was sent to underwriting, I did not feel the same sense of urgency. There was never a request sent to me that took longer than an hour to send back, but with anything I sent back, the quickest turn around I got from the underwriters was AT LEAST 2 days, sometimes more. The inspection of my home was on 3/5/15, and at that time we asked for a possible end of march close date, rather than the original listed date of 4/21. I asked Barb and she stated the file was sent to under writing, and we should hear back at any time. Over a week later I was finally reached out with what was needed (which was sent back within and hour). Among the items listed were the financials for my wife. This was a conventional loan and bond, so the only financials needed were mine. I reached out to Barb, and she then told the UW that they weren't needed. I was also asked for my 2014 tax return (which was filed through turbo tax). When you receive your filed return from turbo tax the first page is a set of instructions, the second page is the physical return. Days after I submitted it I was told to send something else that shows I filed my return, and that the file I sent appeared to be instructions. If the UW had scrolled to page 2, the return was there. At another point, I was told that my income was too high for the bond program, which would have stopped the process because we were depending on it. Barb had to explain the correct calculation to the UW, and it was then approved. Because of all these unnecessary delays, it caused the month of March to pass and not allow us to close until 4/21. I never felt like a customer or a client when the UW was involve, I felt like a piece of paper in a pile. While I understand TONS of people are buying homes, and we weren't the only ones, there can be more a customer experience during this process. Your dealing with peoples lives, people put a lot of emotion into buying their home, especially their first home. It should be treated with a little more courtesy.

As we used to hear buying a house its not easy, but with the professionals at FBC Morgage everything in my personal experience was really smooth and pleasand, they went above and beyond giving us the best costumer service in every single aspect; my loan officer Ms. Barbara Dini did an awesome and professional job with my case, even taking care of the case on her vactions, something that only a real and dedicated professional can do, a great company its build in a strong base with and employee like Ms. Barbara Dini. did she know what was going on?
started great, had all my paper work in order ready to go...then we hit underwriting and all sorts of fun started. First, due to the property being a "flip" I needed to have a second appraisal done. FBC team waited until 1 week before closing to inform us of that. To make matters worse, they suggested we wait until the day before closing to file for our extension on the contract. Second, do not try to contact this woman in her office because out of the 30 times I tried to call her office, she was there maybe 2 times? After the second appraisal, for some reason they felt I needed to have a second home inspection, and once again, they waited until 5 days before closing to have this done. They also requested I have some minor issues resolved this time as well. Finally, when I asked questions about why they needed these appraisals and inspections, they answer I got was a simple " it is FHA guidelines" so I had to look up the answers myself. Oh and they tried to blame my real estate agent for all of the confusion. All and all, I would say horrible service
Jeffrey's Tip: make sure you have a tall drink ready for when you are dealing with these people, oh and become an expert on FHA guidelines and procedures
