My experience in the beginning when I was preapproved was great. When it was one week before closing is when they asked for documentation which should have been asked for weeks in advance which caused the loan processor to hold up my approval and my closing date was canceled twice. On the day I closed and got my keys I still received an email asking about an account that I was originally told I had to pay so they did collect the money from me to pay the account off when I had already paid it so I was owed money. The biggest problem I had with them was communicating with each other because I was told one thing by someone and another by someone else which is what delayed my approval and closing.

Getting the Tough deals done

This loan process has been a bumpy ride but I couldn't have done with with a more dedicated team than FBC Orlando. Jay and his team worked closely with me and my family to ensure we got the home as well as closed in record time considering the hurdles we went through prior to meeting FBC. I cant remember the last time I worked with a team as dedicated to ones needs as this one. As long as you can provide the documentation in a timely manner they get everything process almost immediately. This has been a memorable experience, and if I had to do it again, I'll only do it with them. Thanks FBC Orlando

First time buyer, great with some hiccups

Jay looked at our financials after we were turned down from the builder's lender after they "didn't under stand our income" and said "yes, we can help you". We aren't standard "vanilla" borrowers according to FBC. This is our very first home purchase, the process was stressful to say the least, they changed our down half way through the process, asked for more and more and more documents and when it was all said and done, we ended up with the loan. The closing costs increased 4k over the final two months, they worked out things and we prepaid the Mortgage Insurance. They did work to drop the rate and give us a credit to work things out. We didn't close the day we were slated to, it was delayed but the maddening part was the lack of communication from them in the end. It took me emailing everyone after calling to get an answer. We didn't even know we had a loan for sure until we went into sign at the title company, just communicate, don't leave people in the dark.

I am so happy with my first expirience buying a home was so fast and no problems.

Me and my wife can't believe how simple and great was our experience in getting our loan with FBC. I really can't believe the great APR I received and low monthly payment, they really did a super job I recommend them to all my family and friends. my brother is going with them now also to purchase his first home.

More than I expected!!

I wasn't sure what to expect from the whole buying a house process, and I had heard horror stories from friends about nightmare experiences but the care, and guidance I received from my mortgage company was outstanding. They kept me up to date on everything, they listened to my needs, and guided me thru every step all the way to smooth and seamless closing...so much easier than I ever would have guessed! Special mention to Cat, who held my hand thru the whole process, a huge thank you to the whole Team at FBC

Unprofessional

Jay started out to be a pretty nice guy but that changed as the process went on. I was a first time home buyer and inquired about several programs that I believe I qualified for. Jay didn't want to put in any extra work to help me save some money on my first house. The biggest issue came about 2 weeks before closing. I inquired about a government program that would save me $10,000 in taxes over the first 3 years of home ownership. Apparently Jay wasn't capable of offering this program to his customers and was rude about my inquiry. He told me to find another mortgage company if I didn't like it. He knew my closing date was about two weeks away and that it wasn't possible to change mortgage companies and still close in time. Jay left me with the decision to stay with his awful service or risk losing the house I wanted to change mortgage companies. I'd never recommend Jay.

Great experience for a first time home buyer.

This was a great experience, I am a first time home buyer and Jay and his team made this as smooth and easy a process as possible. My phone calls and emails were answered in a timely and thorough manner. I mostly dealt with Cat (Catherine Carosone-Lynn) and she is exceptional! She answered a million questions and never once made me feel bothersome or stupid, her replies were always prompt and polite. Even after we closed and most people now don't answer calls or respond, Cat still responds and helps to resolve any issue we are experiencing. She goes above and beyond and def. made this process a lot less stressful than it could of been with someone else. I will def recommend FBC (and Cat) to future home buyers!
