Vilma's Tip: The Title Company does not communicate very well. They don't do follow up calls. Basically, you have to do your own in order to finalize your closing. It's hard to get someone to answer the phone.

Excellent Leadership
We used the RMC website during the entire loan process, which started in October, 2022 and carried through until closing on May 25, 2023. We went through several evolutions of document production, including one a mere 4 days before closing. The VA had a seemingly insatiable appetite for documents. Matthew and Jordan shepherded us through all stages of the loan process. Without their assistance and patience I fear that the train would have left the rails. We also found the use of the RMC website to track our progress and collect our documents was a great help. We thank one and all for the extraordinary effort and leadership they showed.
John's Tip: Gather every document you can think of and sort them into folders. When the lender or VA asked for a statement from a certain account I'd automatically add ongoing statements in the appropriate folders so they were available for the inevitable update.

Worst underwriter ever!!!
Relocated from Indiana to Florida. Spent 6 months in underwriting and FINALLY received Clear to Close 1 day before closing was scheduled. My loan officer Matt Myers & processor Rolando Garcia did their jobs well, but I would never wish the underwriting process I experienced on anyone!! I had literally shipped my vehicles and all my belongings to Florida, wired closing costs, etc without even having a final approval til hours before I closed. The underwriter robbed me of the experience of feeling excited about building/purchasing my first home because I was nervous and unsure of the outcome til the last minute. Thankfully, the lender credit helped offset some of my frustration, and thank God it’s over!! On a lighter note, my home is Gorgeous!!
