Chelsea called and emailed after I inquired about a refinance loan, and her explanations of how the FBC process worked convinced me that, coupled with the great advertised rate, I should refinance with them. She navigated me through the online document and information gathering process, checked in on a regular basis, and even when she was out of office, left contact information for her manager and colleague so I could get answers.

Unparalleled service
I was stuck in my mortgage with one of the worst financial companies in the country after the 2008 financial meltdown for 7 years. Around April my wife asked me tried to refinance our house out from the mortgage company that we had been stuck forever. I did some online researches and found FBC mortgage. I decided to give it a try and I contacted Chelsea and she was very honest and upfront by telling me that the real rate base on my credit score. For sure, all the mortgage companies that I contacted and none of them came close to what Chelsea quoted me. She and her team are very proactive and supporting along the way in my application process. She even took my case all the way to the upper management to have the obstacle resolved. After all, my final rate came out lower than what she quoted me first because of the obstacle that she worked so hard to resolved it for me. In a nutshell, I have not met any mortgage agent that worked so hard and diligently helping his/her customer! Both my wife and I felt very grateful that worked with her and her team to have out application started all the way to closed. I definitely will refer her to whoever need to refinance or getting a new mortgage!

Ok, but nightmare of a processor
Chelsea is very amicable. When I originally spoke to her, I had full confidence that everything would be smooth. It was my first home purchase and it was a bit naive to think that way. Initially, after all the documents were requested, I sent them over. Never heard back and assumed that everything was okay. Less than a week before closing, I start getting a barrage of e-mails of missing documents and how all documents were not wet-signed. I was not told everything needed to be wet-signed so I e-signed everything. No documents were checked until days before closing. The days leading up to closing, I constantly called Chelsea and Bonnie (the processor) to find out how much I had to wire for the down payment. I only had an estimate, but no one could figure out how much the exact amount was. On closing, I sent over more than what was expected to cover any unexpected costs. We obviously closed late since things weren't ready. After closing, I didn't hear anything from anyone except my realtor. I didn't know how much I needed to pay per month, who to pay it to, when to pay it. Closing was a mess and it honestly was a terrible experience for my first time buying a home. Chelsea was fine, but if you get Bonnie the loan processor, ask for a change right away. Only reason it was above 1 star was because Chelsea got me a great rate.
