I would like to take this time to review Gateway Home Lending, Rick Barber and his staff. We have worked with other "big" banks regarding the mortgage we were trying to attain on our condo in Florida. They were a nightmare, with little or no communication. From the onset, Rick was quick to respond to any question that we had. He was always available, and I could always count on a prompt reply. He worked very diligently with us, even before we gave him all of our personal information. We worked with several of his staff members, each one excellent, with prompt and clear replies. There was no red tape, which resulted in a fast and easy closing. I would highly recommend this company, and Rick Barber for all of your loan needs.

Very satisfied with the professionalism and responsiveness of Rick and his team. We were working with a short sale where it was a hurry-up-and-wait situation where we waited for a few months to get approval from the seller's mortgage holders and then once we had it Rick's team had very little time to respond. They still got everything done and we closed on time according to the needs of the seller's banks so we are happy campers in our new home!

I have lived in Sarasota just long enough to know that Gateway is the local bank you can trust, and I changed my bank to Gateway on the same day I decided to put my house up for sale. 4 days later I'd sold it, and then the heat was on to find a home. Richard literally helped me get the majority of my application done in his office on the first day, relieving my stress and making my banking transition as comfortable as possible. He pretty much held my hand for several days, through email and phone, so the loan could be finalized. I was totally satisfied!
