I worked with Jay, Anna, and Ulanda on my home loan. Like all mortgages, it takes time to get all the documentation together but they were helpful and answered any questions I had. We used FBC Mortgage to purchase our home in FL. We lived in ILL and Jay did everything to help make it easier for us. Some documents we weren’t sure how to do electronically but Jay helped us through it. Everything ran smoothly.
John's Tip: We are seniors and doing all this electronically was a bit intimidating at first. We felt it was secure and we would be comfortable doing it again.

If you enjoy searching, printing, scanning and emailing every sheet of paper you’ve ever touched, this is the mortgage company for you.
Do not even think about it. Loan officer is asleep at the wheel.
Edward's Tip: Horrible, cumbersome, tedious repetitive, and almost impossible. I have NEVER been so stressed. On the morning of our closing, I was still disclosing, explaining, and worrying. Closing was delayed for hours due to these fine folks and the moving company couldn’t deliver the furniture so late. Another night in a motel, another overnight charge from the moving company. Never again would I use this company.

VA Loan
Our loan was painless and fairly simple. Loan processors and admin. staff were terrific. Although there was a TON of paperwork required (due to the VA) it was easy to upload and provide to FBC and if something was wrong or something additional was required they let us know in a timely manner and we got it done! Would definitely use again.

One issue of concern
The repetitive requests for documentation was unprofessional and borderline incompetent. We provided documents (bank statements, pension letters, insurance documents, etc.) only to receive more requests for the same stuff or the most recent version. It was knows since day one that our closing would be in September. It was frustrating and confusing. At times when asked for documents I already provided, I was concerned that our file had been lost or misplaced.
Sallie's Tip: Get ready to be frustrated by the haphazard handling of your account.

Jay was very professional and patiently explained and answered all questions. I was a little dissapointed and stressed last week before closing because apparently there was a lot of back and forth between the title company and FBC. While Jay, Reina, were professional and very accurate, there was still a little bit of miscalculations on the taxes, insurance, everything was resolved in a good manner.
