Stay away from FBC
My initial loan applcation was submitted in November 2012. I had my closing July 31, 2013. Within this time frame I had five different loan officers. This company had terrible communication and high employee turnover. I was given different information from different loan officers. Incorrect paperwork was submitted to USDA which was rejected and needed to be resubmitted. This delayed the closing on my house over 45 days. It was never communicated with me that incorrect paperwork was submitted and new docs needed to be sent. I was given an expectation timeframe of closing which changed because of the lack of communication and me not knowing new paper work was sent. Therefore I was planning for a closing that was not going to happen for another 45 days. I packed all my belongings, arranged movers, bought furniture, etc. My lease expired and I had no where to live because of the "mistake" they made. I had to extend my living arrangements and pay extreme fees because of it. I threatened to back out of the deal and finally dealt with someone named Jennifer who didnt have anything to do with the prior instances. She was helpful and communicated with me. She took ownership and explained it was FBC's error.
JOHN's Tip: Go anywhere but FBC.

I just wanted to say the entire loan process was easy, no hassle, got all the documents in as requested. There were no last minute paper work that was needed which eliminated any extra steps. Everyone was professional and Tanya answered my emails ASAP. I am pleased with the whole process, especially grateful because of my daughters illness, having a smooth transition into my new home was just awesome. I am so grateful that I didnt have to stress with any last minute issues. Thank You for your survice and and wonderful experience. My closing went well, no headaches whatsoever. My family would like to say thanks to everyone that assisted in this matter.
JULIA's Tip: Make sure you have all your documents in as soon as it is requested, and make sure your large deposits are explained or get copies of any large checks deposited.

My First Home
When nobody gave us confidence that we could buy, and we felt frustrated, Kara Austin always encouraged us to go ahead, made the process simpler and easier and always had communication with my realtor, them and us. We set a closing date and that day was. We are extremely grateful. The always would recommend, if they had they would give ten stars.
Richard's Tip: If you are going to buy a house organizen all documents, the whole process did online because we lived in CT, a computer and a scanner.

Great Experiance
After dealing with some other not so straightforward individuals in my 1st home buying process this was refreshingly easy. The only complaint I would have is having to send over multiples of douments previously sent in earlier months. However Both the loan office & processor were frienly, answered my millions of questions, and made this process smooth. If i had to buy again & do another mortgage I would definately go with this company.
Charla-Yvonne's Tip: Keep copies of your documents handy & ready to email at any time. It make the process smoother than dealting with mounds of paper.

not a good experience
There were so many errors I don't know where to begin. For starters, initially we were told that everything was moving along after we signed the contract and when we didn't hear anything for a MONTH I decided to call, only to find the loan officer working on our loan had resigned, and as a result nothing had been done with our loan. That is just one of many instances where the ball was dropped. As first time hombuyers the process was already intimidating, coupled with the incompetence of the people working on our loan, made it more stressful. My husband and I literally felt as if we were babysitting, not only to get things done, but to get them done right. The whole process with FBC was disappointing to say the least. The other reviews are more positive, so perhaps our situation was just bad timing and human error.
