Nice guy but horrible communication
There were several occasions that I needed immediate assistance from John. I would email, text, and call him stating that it’s urgent and would not hear back from him. There have been times when he finally gets back to us (usually more than 24 hours later) and we end up getting screwed over with something (I.e., interest rate lock-in rate goes up by the time he gets back to us). His colleague, Felicia Gialenios who has also been assisting with the loan process was not the greatest either. The way things were explained to us were very vague and different from how John explained it to us. When I tried contacting her via phone (some of my questions could not be handled via email), she never answered once and kept responding via email. This was all happening the day before our closing and we needed her cooperation with this. She had told us that she is not available by phone and will not be until the next day. She provided her available time which would be after our scheduled time to close. Almost as if it was done on purpose. She knew we needed to get things done before our closing date and could not make herself available in any way for us. It turns out that they needed us to provide them with a document from about 1 year ago which they have failed to obtain at the time. How things were run especially in our last few weeks prior to closing, was unprofessional due to the lack of cooperation and communication. To top things off, at closing, we spent an extra hour sitting at the Title Company because the lenders have failed to update the paperwork (something they should have done weeks prior to our closing) after my husband and I got married so we had to sit there waiting for these updates to occur and they are already difficult to reach via phone. My husband and I were very disappointed.
Catrina's Tip: Pay attention to response time. If you can use a different home loan company, I would definitely do so.

Didn't like having to work with them at all. Despite having a high credit score I was told I wasn't getting the best loan rate because of all the closing costs they were "covering." Communication was terrible via calls, texts and emails. Two days prior to closing I had to hound them to get my final closing disclosure with how much I had to wire to the title company. I will never work with them again.

Very unresponsive and refused to answer many phone calls. Day of my closing I find out that my package was never sent to the title company and my closing was delayed because of this, I had to call 8 different people and leave messages before the branch manager personally took care of it. Very unprofessional and wouldn’t recommend,
