Customers Service was beyond the expected. Jackie Hohman was awesome. Process was very smooth and easy. She was able to answer all our questions. It is the second time we have work with her in the past 3 years and her professionalism is top notch.
Luis's Tip: If you want for your loan to close on time all you have to do is upload loan requirements within 24 hours and answer any question they may ask as soon as possible. I checked my email a few times per day to make sure they did not have any questions that I was able to answer right away.

My loan officer Jackie Hohman worked with me every step of the way. Any questions I had she quickly answered. I scrutinized the paperwork sent to me for accuracy, and everything checked out, no surprises. Got a great rate and closed on the scheduled date with no problems. FBC has this process very well streamlined. I would do business with them again and recommend them highly!
Miriam's Tip: The Appraisal! Have your home ready for the appraiser visit. Fix ahead of time items that may be noticed so appraisal doesn't delay closing. Don't renovate big items, just the smaller ones, like toilets should work, no chipped paint, fascia/siding not missing, electrical outlets have plates, AC works, lights work, etc.

Worst loan experience ever
Jackie was unorganized, lacked good communication and the e-doc website was a mess. Jackie could easily have provided a basic timeline for us of what to expect (eg: "sign applications today, two weeks later sign this, two weeks later we will schedule a closing near you, these are the options for times, etc." ). She emailed us with "this must be signed and sent back to me by 9pm today” at 2pm but we were at work and didn't see the email until 7pm. A heads-up at the beginning of the process would have been helpful. She was very concerned about closing the same month (but we didn't care) and she kept bringing that up that things needed to be completed quickly "in order to close by the 30th.” (We knew she was anxious, but we weren’t; this was a big decision for us but she kept rushing us.) The worst part of the entire process was their e-docs website; it would loop us around from logging in, signing the document and then logging the other person in to sign the same documents while wiping out the first person's signature; it was as if the password wasn't set correctly for the second person. We had issues every time something needed to be signed. We finally had to print, sign, scan and send back. Jackie kept indicating that using our phone or iPad or tablet might be causing the issue; we kept telling her we only used a desktop computer during the entire process. The forms we needed to sign at closing were not completely filled out; we had to call her to finish filling them in during the closing. Jackie also never confirmed our job titles or how we sign our names; both were wrong (we both sign with our middle initial) on the final documents but by then it was too late to correct. It was my (at least) seventh closing and the most frustrating experience.
Lisa's Tip: Go elsewhere; ask for a timeline upfront; confirm the loan officer knows how you sign your name; ask if they have issues with their e-docs program.

From the very first contact I had with Jackie Hohman I could tell that she really cared about individuals. She explained options with me. She told me about FBC and policies. At any time that I had a question she had a answer for me. She helped all the way threw the process and would help me to fill out the application and the many forms. She was very pleasant every time I contacted her. I wish there was a lot more people in the world with her attitude and love. You can tell she enjoys her job and she enjoys helping people. She even followed up to be sure everything went well at signing.
