Was using a local lender that we had used before but when they finally gave me a rate quote it was over a point higher than what Home Loans had posted online. We then were in a rush but they completed everything so quickly that we made our 30 day close!! Devon was amazing! Stayed on top of everything and kept us posted. Smooth process and great rate!

The refi of our 2 investment properties was a challenge, mainly because of a very slow appraiser. There were also a couple of hiccups with underwriting, but through it all Gary Konkel was outstanding. He was kind, responsive, and helped solve any issues that came up. I would highly recommend Gary to anyone looking for a home loan !

Refinance
The refinance process went smoothly and just as Gary said. There was a little lack of communication when it came to the amount due at closing. I was told I needed a cashier's check for over $700 at closing. Then when I got to closing I found out I was actually getting $300 back. There was also a mistake when our September house payment drafted from our account which was not supposed to happen.
Dirk's Tip: Get all closing docs verified before closing. I had a copy of closing expenses but apparently that changed between the time it was sent to me and the night of closing.

Gary's Tip: The underwriter for the lender, Chase Bank, was so picky. They wanted everything. Even with a high FICO score (>800), hundreds of thousands $ liquid in Savings, 70% LTV, etc., they still tried to find an excuse not to do the loan. I've never had such a tough refinance in my life ( been though many). Not Home Loans Todays fault, but ....
