Communication is missing
I selected this lender as they are the builders lending agency and had incentives to use RMC. It was chaotic from day 1. Their information never aligned with the construction information and 3 months out, they held me responsible for all "closing" items even though my house was still a shell. The day of closing was the WORST experience. RMC didn't send my closing docs to the title company until the scheduled time of closing. They sent an incorrect CD which resulted in me wiring more than necessary. My closing took 3 hours from the time it was scheduled! I'm still waiting to hear about my overpayment, too. There was also a lot of blaming of the builders, even though they are the same company. The blaming left me with very little faith.
Dawn's Tip: Do not use RMC. I felt like I had to check to see if they did their end of the work continuously.

I Don't Know What I Would Have Done Without Him!
When my husband and I decided to buy our first home, we were excited but also scared! Buying our first home felt overwhelming and our of reach at first... But not after meeting Dylan! Dylan was professional, attentive and truly cared about our buying experience. He took every call of mine and would answer all of my questions - he was so kind to make sure to give me detailed and thoughtful feedback no matter what the issue or concern was. I really appreciated being able to lean on someone like Dylan to help guide us through the process. He also gave us incredible advice on hard financial decisions that we couldn't have made without Dylan. Dylan is professional, smart, friendly, and a joy to work with. He is also a family man which my husband and I appreciate on a personal level! Throughout the process Dylan sent helpful email and text reminders. He also sent videos on what to expect during each stage of the process that made things so easy! Even to this day a YEAR later, I still text Dylan for different pieces of advice like mail I receive, help with my home insurance, etc. He goes above and beyond to make sure he is helpful. When you're buying a home, make sure to work with someone you trust! Like Dylan! P.S best thing? DYLAN made sure to give us the BEST rate. People can't believe the incredible interest rate we got!

My original loan was with FBC which they quickly sold. I contacted them a few month after closing to shop for a lower interest rate. My original loan officer was still with them. He gave me some advice and told my to hang on for a bit. I couldn't do much yet anyway. I did and it paid off. He kept me in the know and on his radar. A few months later, it was time. He had found a ridiculous rate for us. We locked it in and within a few weeks, we had a new mortgage and a fantastic interest rate that saved us about 200+ per month. (We had a pretty good rate before. That's why only 200p/m savings). Thanks guys. Awesome work on your part.

Dylan was there from the beginning all the way to the end. His professional knowledge, advice and patient manner made it a very pleasant experience. No question went unanswered. He will definitely be doing other loans for our family in the future.
Joanne's Tip: listen to what he says, do not go out and open a bunch of credit lines at appliance stores, furniture stores, etc.That can wait to after you close. Make it a clean transaction and everything will go smoothly.

Everything went smoothly until the end when I was required at the last minute to give my 2018 taxes and then asked if paid, then had to wait till paid. It would have been nice to know that this was all needed ahead of time.

Lots of documentation required
We used FBC Mortgage because they were a preferred lender for Minto (our builder). I have never had to supply so much documentation for a mortgage and I felt if I wasn’t on top of things there would have been items that fell through. Also, they didn’t offer a lock in that allowed you to drop to a lower rate if it was available, so we ended up with a higher rate. If you don’t have time to do a lot of research and provide a lot of documentation, I’d look for someone else.

Dylan was great. Very attentive and on the ball. They did everything ahead of time which saved a ton of time at closing. Stay alert at closing. There can be a few glitches. It's up to you to ID them. In all, they were outstanding. I would recommend them to everybody.

This was the most stressful situation. It seemed like there was a revolving door of people who did not have my information and I repeatedly had to provide them with most of the same information. The only redeeming factor was Dylan. He was responsive, cordial, prompt and very nice. I suggest you try to take better care of your customers and make a stressful situation a little bit more user friendly.

Very awesome. Dylan worked hard. We were not the norm. Ca state retirement does send verification until retired. Pay warrant shows actual now figures. Retire only gives printed when apply and date warrant will start. So I have 675 hours. Using 166mo + pto (17:75). About 6mo. Retirement 11/01 that does not pay until 12/01. And now we don’t pay state tax. Then Robert. Job (forensic accountant) works worldwide company. Does not have location in Florida. Loose job when moved from ca. Then gets phone call from comperter offers double. Same job/work different company. Dylan had plenty of challenges with this loan. We would do it all over. Dylan worked it as his own. We always knew what had to be done.
