We were referred to Brian by our builder Anthem. From the moment we contacted Brian Skarg he was friendly and explained the whole process of our loan. He made it very easy and explained every step of the way and if we didn’t understand any part of the process he took the time to communicate with us in a very timely time fashion. Brian was very professional and gave us his total attention. He made me feel comfortable in calling him with any questions I had about the loan. He always kept me aware of how our loan was going and the timing. Brian truely made this loan process easy and simply. He is a major asset to the FBC company.

Brian was excellent and communicative the entire way through (a process that took nearly 10 months!). For example, I had questions pop up as I changed employment midway through and was wondering how that would affect the loan and Brian responded promptly with the right information to ease my concerns. The frequent videos were a joy to watch and, as a first-time home buyer, Brian and team provided all the proper information needed to help us along the home buying journey.

Brian and his team are awesome and were super helpful throughout the loan cycle/process. Quick responses, helpful tips and very friendly team. I got the reasonable rate. No complaint as such. From the improvement perspective, I trust there is a scope to enhance underwriter process. I might be wrong here, I guess when earning to debt ratio is acceptable, have an excellent credit score and financial balance is strong then minor transactions of 10K to 20K can be ignored. I felt that providing 6 months old statement to justify 10 K transaction was not important. Still, there job is tough and I totally understand their stance. Kudos and a Big Thank you to Brian who was with us right from the beginning of the house buying process.

We had a wonderful experience working with Brian and his team. Brian was always SUPER quick to respond to and very helpful through the process. We were in the process of a new construction home so it was a long 9 month waiting period! Brian was wonderful even just checking in when there wasn’t anything to do and just letting us know this is the waiting period. Great team and happy to refer them and use them again for anything!

Home buying with ease
Brian Skarg of FBC Mortgage made the difficult process of home buying a much easier experience. From the start, Brian made sure to keep me informed of what documents I needed to gather, provided me a timeframe for the entire process since I was purchasing a new home which would not be built for 7 months, and was readily available to answer any questions throughout the loan process. He worked hard to ensure I understood all my options and followed up every step of the way. Even once the closing was in the hands of the title company, he went above and beyond to assist me with a title company error that almost kept me from closing on time. I highly recommend Brian if you are in the Sacramento/Roseville area.

Success Even During a Pandemic
I was able to close my loan on time even during a pandemic thanks to FBC! Brian Skarg patiently worked with with me to find a solution even during the unforseen pandemic in early 2020. We thought it was going to be “cookie cutter” loan, but it sure wasn’t. The purchase of my new home was contingent on the sale of my home in the San Francisco Bay Area. I had difficulties showing and selling of my home due to the the Covid-19 breakout. However, Brian patiently worked with me at the time and helped me determine an alternative solution for my downpayment, which resulted in the closing of my loan on time. To make a long story short, I sold my home in the Bay Area, closed on my loan and moved into my new home even during a pandemic, thanks in part by the FBC team. Thank you Brian!
