Thankful Beyond Words
The professionalism, and care provided by the FBC Mortgage Team was truly outstanding. With frequent and consistent communication, information offered using multiple modalities; telephone, youtube videos, I felt incredibly comfortable asking any and all questions. A special shout out to Ashley for his patience and kindness in his responses. Truthfully, he and the team made a normally stressful process relatively worry free.

Lacking communication at the end
Communication was few and far between between not sure where we stood. At the end we almost had a late closing due to not having closing amounts in time to get money wired due to people taking time off work and not sending information to us before they took extended weekend. Friday before close we got a shocking email stating we would need almost double the money to close then what we had been told throughout the whole process. At close we had to have almost a 1000 dollars more than we were told throughout the process, I guess it was better than the double amount told to us three days before closing. Super stressful end because of lack of communication.

Fax, fax, fax
Paperwork is a nightmare when getting any new mortgage loan, but it was also costly in this instance. I spent $100 faxing all the required documents. They discourage email and gave no office location to drop paperwork off. I submitted everything timely, but it seemed no matter what all I sent they needed a "last thing." I was given a closing date and they were still asking for things after that. We were told everything is good, would start to get excited, then get called again with something else. We weren't sure we were going to get our house until literally the day of closing. We couldn't get excited for our house at all. In the end I was ready to walk away and rent.
