I am a first time home buyer with no knowledge whatsoever on the loan process. The day before closing I found out my desire to put down more at closing should have been addressed prior to closing. I thought I could put down as much as I wanted on top of my closing figures at closing to get my payments down as low as my husband and I wanted and that the adjustments would be made before we left. I was very impressed that Jared and his team worked very hard and late to make it happen and they did. We closed the day of closing with the payments we wanted and even walked away with a refund. Go team Jared.

I can say that everyone involved in processing of all my documents and loan process were very polite, helpful, friendly, eager to explain in better terms the process and the papers regarding funds and always "Mr Garcia", until I just told them to just call me Erick. Builder recommended lender
The process was painful for me because I had to write a million letters of explanation! However, I would have had to do the same with any lender that I went with and FBC gave me ample time to respond to their requests.
Ross's Tip: Give yourself at least 6 months of steady credits / debits on all your accounts (checking, savings, credit cards) before trying to buy a newly built home. Otherwise you may have to explain all the nitty gritty details of your financials.
