10 days later and I am still in shock that I am a homeowner and landlord. Aside from the mortgage, I am forever in debt to "Saint" Ana Maria and her team especially my fav, Natasja for helping me buy my first duplex. I want to share my story with everyone because it is so good, sooooo good!! Here is a recap of my first time home buying experience with Ana Maria and her team from FBC Mortage in Tampa : Back in July, I applied for a loan to buy the property I was renting for the past 3 years with my boyfriend ( I know...bad idea) but our credit was not strong. Ana Maria said I wasn't too far off and recommended a credit repair specialist for him. After that, I did what I could to boost it up ASAP using experian boost, paid stuff off, and opened a credit card account to begin to rebuild my credit. A few months later, I reached out to her again with my dad as a co-signer but he was already on two other family loans so, that did not work. My hopes went back down. A couple months after that, the seller (my former landlord) let me know he was ready to sell it and like now not later. I really loved where I lived. It was dog friendly, near my grandmothers home and my job. I did not want to move AGAIN or miss this opportunity. So, in November, I reached back out to "Saint" Ana Maria again (third time is the charm) and asked her if she could try with just ME on the loan without a co-signer. After going over my stuff, she said to me " I am pretty sure I can get it done" and I pretty much believed her. I let the seller know there was a chance of me getting approved. Thanksgiving week, the seller and I signed a contract that said if I got approved I would buy his home and by Dec 30th That only gave a month to get everything done. Once we submitted that piece of paper to Ana Maria, the ball began to roll and FAST. During this time, I was receiving emails from Ana Maria's team requesting documents needed. That's when I was so lucky to got to work with Natasja. She was soooo kind and sooooo helpful. This was my first time trying to buy a house. Natasja became my "go to" if I had any questions. She would even root me on like a cheerleader and put me at ease. She became a friend I never met. They say buying a house is one of the most stressful things you will do in life. Luckily, it was not so bad for me because of these ladies. They worked day and night to make this happen for me. I received emails at 6:22 AM and even 11:30 PM to hit our target close date of Dec 30th. I questioned, "Do they even sleep?" I was anxious, excited, nervous all month but finally, I got that call from "Saint" Ana Maria letting me know that I was " CLEAR TO CLOSE". I am getting choked up just thinking about that day because of how much happier in life this has made me. I know this was a lot to read but if you are looking for a home mortgage, you can count on Ana Maria and her team to get the job done professionally and fast. 2020 was a crazy year for sure. I am so happy with how mine ended. Thank you again ladies for my Happy New Year!!!! I can't thank you all enough!!!!!! Thank you thank you thank you forever!!!!!
