Why we left as loyal Rocket / Quicken loans customers for FBC Mortgage
Miguel Castro and his team is the reason we finally switched to FBC Mortgage from a long standing relationship with multiple home loans through Rocket / Quicken Loans. Why? We are Seniors aka: tough and mortgage savvy customers. Miguel was the most OUTSTANDING lender we have ever had the pleasure to write a loan with, in all areas of our loan process he was patient, professional, respectfully, and most of all knowledgeable in all loans and the loan thru title process he was able to help us select the best loan for our family's needs. We are retiring and downsizing a very stressful and difficult transition. Simply put Miguel was there for us! Let me repeat that he was there for us!!! He always returned our emails and phone calls promptly. That is sadly, unheard of in this day and age. Real customer service! He ran all the loan scenarios for us till we found the right one. We had know idea as seniors we still qualified for VA loan having used it in our youth. In summary Rocket / Quicken still blows up our phone for us to return but Miguel and his team are local, skilled and highly efficient (we closed on a VA loan in 3 weeks during 2 holidays!) and most of all Miguel REALLY cares about his client a placing you in the loan that is best suited for you and your families needs. Something in the end was more valueable than ANY Rocket / Quicken Mortgage loans speed gemic promotions and hidden garbage loan fees!! Noteworthy is Miguel is now writing a loan for our daughter helping her to purchase her first home and pending ihe is working with our son and my sister's FHA Streamline refinance. Awesome, easy, stress free experience
I’ve worked in banking for over 15 years and know how stressful getting a mortgage can be. The process with FBC was incredibly easy, their online process walked you through every step and they were always there to answer questions if I need them. Kim was especially great! She took the time to sit down with us and go over all of the different scenarios and options. In the end she helped us make an informed decision that we were happy with and left us feeling less stressed about making this huge purchase. I highly recommend Kim and the team at FBC.

We were referred to Nate kinda off hand. "Give them a try..." I was already working with a "VA loan specialist" with another company. Nate was referred by our Realtor. The other company had us working on various things to better my score. Once on the phone with Nate we were pre-qualified in a short time. Instead of waiting at least two weeks to two months working on the score, we were looking for a home later that day. We thought we found our home and Nate was right on it. Getting reports and clearing the road well ahead of any expectation. That deal fell through (our decision), after a lot of work by Nate. Not long later, we found another house, this would end up being our home. The seller requested the sale be closed on December 30th. Less than a month. Nate made it happen. Highly recommend this lender. Friendly. Efficient. Whenever we had a concern or question, Nate was on it.

We can not say enough great things about Nate. His communication throughout the process was above and beyond that of other loan officers we have used in the past. Nate made us feel important and like we were a priority. Despite Nate having multiple clients, he treated us as though we were his sole focus. He was very quick to answer questions and super knowledgeable. I would (and already have) recommend Nate to absolutely anyone. While our loan did not close on the target closing date, it was due to matters outside of Nate’s (and FBC’s) control. There are no hard feelings regarding the delayed closing.

I have to say Nate was amazing he got us just where we needed to be. Naturally buying a home can be stressful but he made the process as easy as it could possibly be.
