We had a wonderful experience with Home Loans Today and FBC Mortgage. Our loan officer, Chelsea Smith, was fantastic. The process could not have been easier from start to finish. We are very pleased with the entire experience.

My husband and I are first time home buyers, our real estate agent did 90% of the work on letting us know what we needed to do, what deadlines we had, when we needed to reach out to our loan officer. Donna did not provide much assistance without me reaching out to her 3 to 4 days in a row, leaving voicemails and sending her emails. It would be helpful if (especially for first time home buyers) the loan officer would communicate each step of the way and let you know what your next step is. My processor on the other hand, Simone, was amazing and very helpful and always quick to respond.

I never really felt like things were explained thoroughly enough, especially as a first-time buyer. I felt like the relationship could have been tighter, but there was a feeling of rushing without being sure, and my agent was a fast talker who I felt like was sweeping things under the rug, but it's over now. He was a nice guy, but I didn't feel confident about my purchase.

Everything was fine until the underwriter started asking for additional proof of money 1 - 2 weeks before settlement ( investments to cash), right before the Christmas holiday.
