My husband and I are first time homebuyers, and were completely sold on partnering with FBC after speaking with Scott Fosgate - He is phenomenal. Then we got assigned to our Officer, Alexis. While she was nice, I could sense irritation every once in a while with my questions. As a first time buyer, questions are inevitable and I would never assume the answer to a question with something like this. As we continued on, we continued to hit some bumps in the road. Our Processor repeatedly requested information I had already submitted. I would also send a list of questions in bullet point form, and would only get one sentence responses that didnt answer anything. Overall, the team could really work on basic grammar and professionalism in their emails -- If I can take the time to review what I write before sending, they can, too. It sounds like a petty complaint, but it means a lot when you receive meaningful and well-written responses as a Consumer.
Carolyn's Tip: Ask every question that comes to mind. It is their job to help, whether they like it or not.

I have bought several homes in the past. FBC Mortgage was the easiest to work with lender that I have ever dealt with. They stayed on top of everything that was needed for the closing. Since I was driving from Nebraska to Florida for the closing they made sure that I had all the information I needed for a timely and successful closing. Thank you FBC!

The Stinson team did a fantastic job at providing me with accurate information throughout every step of the process. My questions were generally answered in a timely manner and Ashley provided great customer service skills when discussing my options. He really went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. This was my first time buying a home and if it wasn’t for him I would have never even considered moving forward. I’ve talked to multiple different lenders and they were all missing someone like him. I just wanted to give a personal shout out to him because I know I probably wasn’t always the easiest to handle! The whole team did a great job with the process. Also, it appeared Scott stayed very late the day before closing to finish the closing disclosure. Not many people would do that and it really meant a lot I gave four stars instead of three because of a few reasons I outlined below •The website never showed accurate information on where my loan process was or what the loan amount was. This led me to constantly be asking Ashley or Donna what is the status which in turn probably caused them to step away from their work to answer a simple question. I believe that should be improved if possible to increase productivity. •Towards the end it seemed very hectic and rushed and was a very stressful last couple of days before closing. Their was little to no information on what was actually happening or if we were going to be approved. I don’t generally like vague answers because I didn’t want to get my hopes up only to be crushed at the last second. Thankfully Fbc pulled through at the end. •I’m not sure if this was provided on the form or not but something that I was really struggling with was getting the bank statements. It was the middle of the month and Bank of America doesn’t produce statements on demand so I had to use their self service which one of my accounts was not showing the account number. I had no idea what Donna was talking about when she said she seen the account number on one but it the other (it was only the last 4 digits). When that form is sent out in the future with the list of items needed I believe it should clearly state the account number must be attached (if it doesn’t already) Those are just my suggestions based off my experiences. Overall this was near perfect service and again I appreciate all the help the Stinson team provided me!!
