Just an Awesoem Experience

Home Loans Today (dba - FBC Mortgage) was an absolutely awesome mortgage company to deal with. I have gotten many originating mortgages and re-fied numerous times, typically looking for a different mortgage company each time due to how rates are calculated and bad experience the previous time. I no longer have to look for another Mortgage company. The loan officer Stephanie was awesome. Underwriter Melea was awesome. Underwriting manager was awesome. I had issues with one piece of documentation the investor didn't like, the HLT team was able to find another investor and got me the same rate and terms. Everyone I dealt with at HLT was professional and very friendly. Thank You HLT. I will use them again for all future mortgages. I highly recommend HLT.

Willing to work hard

Our loan was more complicated than most, to the point that another lender wouldn't even try to underwrite once they got the paperwork. Home Loans Today took it on and was willing to work hard to make the loan work and at an excellent rate. The process was not completely smooth (it never is I suppose) but Home Loans Today resolved issues quickly. Our loan officer was Stephanie Fera and I would highly recommend her: professional, competent, and responsive, she worked very hard from initial contact till our (on time) closing.

Home Loans Today Refi - Very Good Experienc

My experience with Home Loans Today was very positive. During the closing, the Closing Agent I used commented very positively about her interaction with the lender I used through Home Loans Today (we used Stephanie Fera). I really appreciate their high level of professionalism. I've referred a number of friends already to Home Loans Today.

John's Tip: One suggestion I would have for other customers is to get a good scanner if you do not have one. Ours scans directly to .pdf file and automatically moves the file to our computer. This helped us save time during the documentation process at the beginning of the loan process.

Pretty Simple

The process itself was pretty simple and easy. This is the first time I have done everything electronically and over the internet but it all worked out. I would do it again for sure! The only negatives was that my phone number was wrong on the original documents which I changed but those changes never it made it into their system so they tried to contact me on a few things (paper-work ect..) and claimed they could never get me. I wanted the amount to pay at closing to be more because I had budgeted for it. I know most people might not see that as a negative but I had the specific conversation with my loan officer 3 times and I wound up paying a different amount. Granted it was less so I can't complain but it would have been nice if they listened to my request. I would use them again and even recommended them to family and friends.
