My husband and I had a great experience from start to finish! The team was great. I received weekly phone calls with updates and every email and phone call was answered the same day. Every team member that i spoke with was friendly and helpful. Nothing hidden and no surprises as it should be!

Not your typical mortgage lender
I purchased a home from a builder who had FBC as a "Preferred Lender". Now, I've always been apprehensive about builders "Preferred" anything as I've spent a number of years in the trade and usually it means a referral fee to the builder and higher prices. I was initially considering a couple other VA lenders and had their loan estimates in hand but, after a discussion with Scott, I decided to give him and his team a chance to show me what they could do for me. We locked in a rate that I was comfortable with, actually a little better than others, and the Final Settlement statement was right in line with the Loan Estimate I'd received, again, just a little better than I expected. I've built houses but never got involved in the financing end of it so I was not real sure of the process but Scott chose Ashley Francis to be my liaison with FBC and couldn't have made a better selection. Ashley was always there to answer questions and keep me informed as to the next step and what to expect down the road. If it wasn't Ashley, it was Jackie Rosado or Jodie Morgan who were reaching out to me to finalize the loan. Scott has assembled team members who are very competent in their roles and they made the whole process pretty seamless. If I asked a question and they were unsure of the answer, they would either find out the answer and reply or would have someone whose area of expertise give me a reply. I appreciated that more than an inaccurate response so Kudos to the team. It just inspires another level of trust. I was on a fairly tight timeframe and had some doubts Scott could deliver as he claimed but they (the Team Stinson) finalized the loan and I was able to close as scheduled. I had my attorney present for the closing at Starfish Title but Renata Paglianite of Starfish had everything organized and, again, another seamless process. By the way, I wanted to compliment Rose Virginis who, even though not part of Team Stinson, was very helpful in my selecting a home insurance policy through FBC Home Insurance. Over all, I would recommend FBC Mortgage and Team Stinson for any mortgage needs; definitely 5 star service.
Robert's Tip: If you have any questions, do not hesitate to ask. After all, you are the client and deserve to be perfectly clear on the process and they are willing to give you the time you need. You have the option of calling and will probably reach someone who knows the answer. I did a lot of emailing just because I'm hard to reach and always got a timely response.

I had commented to staff directly early in the process that it was going so smoothly it made me nervous. Now that we are done and in our new home, I will say that it was the smoothest process for a loan of any kind I have ever experienced. The best part is the way the team was informative in all aspects and they way they ensured we were up to date and understood what was required from start to finish.
