Terrible experience. Nearly made us homeless
Generally speaking they: 1. Did not process my information in time. 2. Did not foresee that a prior short sale would be an issue with the type of loan I was seeking. 3. Caused us to reschedule the closing, twice. 4. Gave up when faced with underwriting problems. Only the interdiction of the realtors was able to resolve the situation. I don't believe the problems are a direct reflection on the staff, as much as an apparent lack of resources in the company as a whole. The mortgage lending industry appears to be broken and in need of overhaul.
Gilberto's Tip: I would suggest to force initiation of the loan approval process early, and stay on top of it. Staff is too busy to keep abreast of all clients' potential issues.

As always, it was pleasure working with Scott Kennedy & Roberta Kemberling during my shorty quick loan journey and making it to the finish line successfully, right on time... Closing this loan on time, was very critical here, to avoid extra fees and unnecessary penalties from the seller and title company. FBC Mortgage made it happen in record time and closed the loan ahead of the scheduled date. Thank you for the excellent service and closing the loan on time exactly before scheduled closing date. I met Scott at a networking event and had the pleasure of getting to know him before doing business. Scott was able to help me eliminate my PMI after property values went up in my area. Once I provided what they needed, we were able to close on the refi within 2 weeks. My wife and I couldn't be more pleased with the service he and the FBC Mortgage team provided. Highly recommend!
J's Tip: Have financial docs on hand before beginning process. You can speed up the process yourself by already having these together - 3 years of taxes, 2 months of paystubs, bank acct history, etc.
