I have to say the FBC Mortgage and Kevin and Scott was the best experience I have ever had obtaining a mortgage. Both were very professional and made the experience very easy. If I had a question, it was answered very quickly. And I was kept informed as the process played out.

They were ok
They were accommodating at first then I toward the end near closing I techies out to make sure everything was on track. 3day before closing a get a phone call stating we might not be able to close on time if I don’t get a document sign that day. My work schedule doesn’t allow for immediate signatures alway. This was expressed in the begin and I feel like the customer service is just lacking in that area.

FBC Mortgage Experience
Closing was today (Halleluia!). I'd have to say that the work-up to today was one of the most stressful and challenging experiences of my life. But as I made my Scott Fosgate team aware of my shortcomings and to please not assume I knew what was coming and when and what I needed to do, they were quite helpful to this novice. Kudos to Gina Leonovich and especially Alexis Ritchie for 'holding my hand' and keeping in close touch with me. This was a remote loan application and closing so everything needed to be done electronically. I truly appreciate their patience and assistance in getting me through!

Very Responsive
First contact from Scott was way after business hours as he went out of his way to get me started on the road to homeownership. His staff has stuck by my side throughout the process and there were many stumbles along the way - only a couple were on FBC; otherwise, was a very informative and helpful process. It's not a simple process but they do stick with you and communicate with you constantly along the way.

Invaluable Help Purchasing My First Home
Buying a home is stressful whether you've done it before or, like me, it's your first time. Shout out to Kevin Houck with the Scott Fosgate team. Kevin and Scott both helped tremendously from the beginning. They streamlined the process (as much as possible) and kept me on track throughout. The thing I appreciate most was their communication. Call, text, email, they always responded quickly and they frequently reached out with updates. Big thanks to them for keeping me informed and reducing stress.
Christopher's Tip: Call. While Kevin and Scott were great at replying (with detail) to text and emails I found talking to them to be the best. They're friendly and want to help you out.

I did not actually ever deal with Scott Fosgate, but instead his rep Kevin Houck. I cannot say enough good things about Kevin. He took the time to explain things to us and keep us updated at every step. He would even call me before an email was sent out to prepare me for and explain to me what it meant. We did not choose FBC right out of the gate as our lender, but I wish we had. The awful experience we had in the beginning would not have happened. Regardless, I am so thankful for Kevin and the rest of Scott's team for their work and patience. I truly felt like a person not a number or just a case being dealt with. I will recommend FBC to all of my friends looking to finance a home.
