Easy process, fairly quick
We were referred to FBC mortgage by our agent, and the entire process was pretty simple and easy, even though our situation was complicated. The only hiccup was with the closing date being moved three days later, but it was mainly due to our cosigners being three hours away and needing to do a mail away signing. Other than that, everything was fine.
Paulo's Tip: Make sure to double check before closing date is set that everything is in order.

Best service I've ever experianced - as close to perfect as you'll see
We used FBC mortgage to finance our new home built by Adam Homes in Palmetto Florida. The mortgage company was very organized and everything worked out extremely well. Their online application and electronic documentation allowed me to quickly submit all the necessary documents without driving anywhere or finding a fax machine. We were able to complete the entire lending process without a single trip to their office so even now I've never met the team. When I did require help, they were always available on the phone, promptly returned my calls. The weekly status updates also gave me a piece of mind that things were moving along. I can't say enough good things about the great experience we had. Financing our home was one of the easiest financial transactions we've ever completed due to the FBC mortgage staff. They were also helpful in referring me to an insurance carrier that offered the same level of service. I was able to compare several carriers and easily ensure insurance requirements for the loan.
Pawel's Tip: Their online application is one of the best ways to submit initial financial documents as its secure and fast. Throughout the loan process, it is best to use email to submit paperwork as well. Print out their documents, sign them, scan them back so you can email them without ever going to their office.

Scott Carter and his team of Scott Conley and Cammy Knowles did a phenomenal job of taking care of us throughout the entire process, from the loan application through closing! Scott went out of his way to ensure he matched multiple competing interests rates I forwarded, until I found the lowest one available, and then locked it in for us. When closing was delayed by the builder for an additional two weeks, Scott ensured we were able to extend our rate lock with the lowest additional fees possible. In fact, the only issue we had with the entire evolution was the lenth of time it took to get our VA Appraisal done (18 days). However, that is something Scott and his team had no control over Bottom line, he and his team did a wonderful job, and we're completely happy with the end result!
Timothy's Tip: The housing market has changed a lot over the past decade since we bought our last home. As such, be prepared to provide a ridiculous amount of paperwork and documentation in order to qualify for and then process your loan, even if you have excellent credit and a good paying job!

I have had two mortgages processed in the last year. The first was with the bank that had my original mortgage. I was led to believe that it would be a seamless transaction but it took 90 days for me to get the loan closed causing me to loose my lock-in rate. It also cost me additional closing cost. Scott Carter, Scott Conley, and Cammy Nobles got my closing done in less than 45 days. It was seamless. I will always go back to the team of Scott, Scott, and Cammy. Thank you guys!
John's Tip: When you get your paperwork from FBC get all your information together at once. This will facilitate the process quickly.
