Information
Overall i feel that i was left in the dark for most of the process. I had no idea that the closing cost would be 9,000+ and they did not communicate with me or go over the documents as they just sent them to me and asked me to review and sign. For a first time home buyer i have no clue as to what i was looking at. They also made mistakes that in the end i had to pay for. Also after i signed at closing i never heard a word. They got their commission and i'm left with questions. I feel like i was just another number in their books. Also for all the money i'm going to spend all i received was a $5 gift card to Starbucks and i don't even go there.
Ruby's Tip: Communication. Explain the process in detail or send someone to sit with clients and actually go over documents.

Great people to work with. Only issue I had was wish we were kept more informative instead of feeling like having to hassle the loan officer to get information.

The process was easy because it was all electronic. There was no tedious faxing or visits to an office to sign and submit paperwork. There were a few issues with the accuracy of the data included on some of the documents and when I brought them up I was considered "freaking out" and I needed to "chill"-not very professional terms to use with a consumer....I was assured that my loan would not be sold and that it would remain with FBC; however, the final documents showed that my loan may in fact be sold...not a happy camper ;(
