I make no apologies, the same 'take no prisoners' demands that I put on myself to be thorough, detailed, and precise with 100 percent accuracy and an almost immediate responsiveness is exactly the same demands that I placed on Team FBC. Amanda Spor and Kim Dorsett and the rest of the team, were up for the challenge of dealing with someone like me and not only did they do a fine job but they took me in stride. I am sure that I irritated them to no end but they did not show it much. If something needed amending, they did it quick without missing a beat. I very much appreciated their secure document handler application. It made personal financial data collection safe, fast and easy. And I am all about efficiency and security. The app could allow users a little more visibility in what they are entering, but it got the job done! The Construction to Perm loan was new to me and they taught me alot about what to expect. The one big deal thing I can say is that FBC Mortgage is a whole lot more flexible and nimble than any National Commercial Bank Mortgage Lending Dept that I have worked with in the past. I have experience with purchasing and/or building four new homes, so I have been around the block a few times with obtaining a mortgage. My experience with FBC is one of the best lenders that I have had the pleasure of working with. One thing that really impressed me was when Amanda first approached me about getting my 'employment with a DoD federal agency verified. She told me exactly how to get this done through a DoD's Automated Personnel system on a self service basis. The knowledge she has is priceless. I had no idea that you didn't have to go through an HR person anymore for this information. My only wish is that I was 20 years younger, I would have loved to help a firm like FBC Mortgage 'Blue Ocean' their competition . That is business strategy speak for creating a business offering so 'over-the-top' superior in every way that literally FBC would not have a serious competitor anywhere in sight. FBC has that potential, but it would have to acquire the resources to take on an Industry stuck in the 1970's and 1980's with its massive paper document signing requirements many of which are wordy, say some of the same things and sometimes even conflict with a different document. A young hot shot attorney, a Lean-Six Sigma expert and additional investments into automation would turn FBC into an unstoppable juggernaut.
Marc's Tip: Get hip! Use FBC 's secure automated document handler and their electronic signing capabilities. It will save you a bunch of time....and time is money!
