This company was very challenging to work with. They did not answer phone calls promptly, asked for repeated items, and were generally difficult to work with. Please choose your mortgage company carefully. We went solely on the advice of our realtor. Next time, we will do more research before choosing a mortgage compnay.

FBC Mortgage Review
FBC Mortgage was overall decent company to work with. However, they were not efficient in getting paperwork done on time and on our closing day and hour before closing the information on the settlement statement was completely incorrect. For example a monthly payment of 1700 dollars when it should have been 973 dollars, which is a big difference. They were not always good at communicating with with us and would often ask us to provide documents on a Friday at 5:30 PM when everything is usually closed.
Carla's Tip: Let FBC staff know that they need to stay in constant contact with you weekly and make sure that if they need documentation that they give you ample time to get that turned in and completed.

Josh and his team are professional and on time
We just purchases the home of our dreams. While the process is extremely stressful, Josh and his team were there to clearly spell out the steps and required paperwork. They are deserving of the 4 best words that can be said of few mortgage brokers - "we closed on time" - These guys work late into the night to make it happen.

Josh and his team worked diligently to get my loan processed. There were many special considerations (ie: there was no current lean on the property), but got the job done. This is my second time working with Josh on a home loan, the first was ten years ago.

This is a great company to deal with. We worked through the mortgage process easily even though I am 3500 miles away from thier office. We had phone and email contact regularly. A Team worth more than their weight in platinum
This regarding a team that is worth more than its weight in platinum (Josh Dougherty and his team/partners Christina Santana and Veronica Ward)… They were able to do what as I understand is statistically impossible. It takes usually a minimum of 30 days to close. They did it in less than half the time. I started the path of buying a house back in late December of 2011. There were a few bumps in the road in finding one (missed opportunities, lost bid, etc.). In May 2012, I contracted the house on 1910 Crestridge (Clermont, FL). After many bumps in the road, the house was ready for closing and on September 18th I asked Josh if he could make the closing date of October 8th. He said yes where I was not getting that certainty from other lenders. On October 3rd I was cleared to close and closed on October 4th. It was very critical to close on or prior to October 8th due to the bank appraisal expiring. If I did not close by this time, I would be waiting at least another month or more and risk the bank wanting a higher offer. Considering what I went through just to be able to close on this house, I told my agent that this was it or nothing. But, thanks to Josh and his team I now have my first home this letter only merely expresses the gratitude I have for Josh, Christina, and Veronica and of course FBC in general.
