Closing on my loan was quite the adventure. We bought a preconstruction property, so we had to go through the approval process twice. Once before the home was built and again upon delivery. We hit a few bumps in the road but the team at FBC supported us through the process.

Navigating the FBC mortgage procedure :(
The steps in obtaining the loan for my Florida property differed from the ease of the NY procedure in that it often felt like putting together puzzle pieces ON MY OWN in order to have it all move forward. It was confusing and frustrating. There seemed to be a huge disconnect in the responsibilities of each party in moving to the next level of obtaining my loan.
LAURIE's Tip: Hire a personal lawyer to assist you in communicating with all of the different entities in the process of obtaining a mortgage loan.

Awful closing experience
We had the most horrible closing experience with this company that literally had me in tears. We provided EVERYTHING that was asked of us as soon as possible, but the very last second at 5:01 pm the day before closing we were given an almost impossible task. After being preapproved with another bank we were told we needed a withdrawal letter. Anna Dicembre was completely unprofessional and rude to both me and my husband. She had the nerve to blame us saying we lied to them about having a loan with someone else. We didn’t have a loan we just got preapproved!!!! Instead of apologizing for the late notice she made us frantic. Yelling and being aggressive towards my husband instead of trying to help us. I work in property management and I would be FIRED if I treated my residents like she treated us. Then at the last second our time and location of the closing got changed on us. She was even rude to us about the change. Screeching “oh my god” when she told us a different location then we were originally told. We pointed this out to her wanting clarification and she again acted like she was inconvenienced by this. Granted we were the one now having to drive over an hour to a closing location much further than the original location. After an awful year this was the silver lining to everything we’ve been through. This was supposed to be an amazing day for us. Something that our families have wanted for us since we were kids and we couldn’t even enjoy the day.

First time homebuyers and we heard alot of stories. About all the paper work. But Jorge, Rolando and Ana made it easy especially with the esign on the computer. This team gave us great service. Even with all the delays with a new construction than the Pandemic (COVID-19) hit. Kept us well informed with emails and phone calls. When we had questions they where available with answers and on point.
