So Fast
The whole process went so fast. FBC had very good communication with me and for the most part was very clear. Very professional staff. I think they have a very good grasp of their job and how to perform. Only glitch, and I may have missed this as we had three different emails going, was that I just didn't remember all of the taxes and fees and how much they added up to. This is the fourth house we have bought but it has been 20 years and I just don't remember being advised that I would need an additional $10K for closing cost. It all worked out, so no big deal.
Michael's Tip: Try to have only one email for communications.

There was a lot of miscommunication and it just seemed very unorganized throughout the process. We were given way too many contacts to submit things to. One of the main problems we had was our closing was in September and days before our closing we were asked for items that we had sent them in May. I think if we had not been handed over to numerous people that would have relieved a lot of our headaches. Also, I would recommend not waiting to ask clients for things until the day you need them, this happened a lot. We are happy that our loan went through and we are in our new home.

Home Loan
Overall the process went pretty smoothly. I did feel that the communication could be improved between FBC and Adams Homes. The lender didn't start collecting final documents until two weeks prior to closing, even though they were informed about closing date a month from closing. Ended up being a fire drill to get final documents and funds wired to title company to try to meet the closing date and time. Closing was delayed (from morning to afternoon and we had to adjust our schedules) because package from FBC arrived at title company at 7:10 PM on the night prior to schedule closing.
