Great Homebuying Process
Gordon and FBC Mortgage by extension, were a great help to the homebuying process. Every step of the way is documented and available to you online, while Gordon is always around to answer questions. I think the best compliment I can give is that everything was efficient and made sense - even if Gordon had to explain it to me a few times.
Davon's Tip: As a first-time homebuyer, a lot of things may not make as much sense as you want. Gordon was great because he answered my many questions about the process and timelines. If you're confused, I suggest looking up your problems first, and then asking your lending team to clarify.

The loan closed after a prolonged process impacted by different loan processors and what seemed to me to be a disproportionate number of questions from the loan underwriter about matters which seemed not to be truly relevant to our ability to pay the loan. I think we had 3-4 loan processors, one working from an office that closed. When dealing with the loan processors, they were always pleasant to work with and seemingly sympathetic.
Robert's Tip: There should be a simple guide on what you maybe asked to confirm. e were asked numerous questions about some independent legal work I do which I believe was unnecessary as our other income was more than sufficient to meet any of our financial obligations. Similarly we were asked to clarify larger payments on our credit card debt which was to me unnecessary.

Mr. Palmieri has displayed exceptional customer service from day one. He is very patient and understanding. Explained everything step by step. Made our home buying process smooth. Great loan officers. I will recommend him to all my friends and family.
Barry's Tip: Buying a new construction homes is a process. Having a great loan officer/real estate agent is the key.

Gordon was always proactive about reaching out for any upcoming deadlines/milestones, and was always available whenever I had any questions. As a first time home buyer, this was extremely important as I had plenty of questions! FBC was not the first lender I reached out to for a quote, but they were the last because of Gordon doing everything he could to get me the best rate and always over communicating. Everyone I worked with at FBC was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. I would recommend them to anyone that is in the market for a home!
