Excellent Competitive Lender
FBC Mortgage was upfront on what they could or could not do. Based on other lender’s offers, they were able to meet and beat their competitors. Also, FBC Mortgage was very prompt in identifying additional information needed help them underwrite the loan. Once the requested documents were provided, FBC Mortgage continued forward. They never lost a document or asked for information that was not related to credit worthiness.
Dennis's Tip: Shop for your mortgage just as you shopped for your home.

This is the second time using FBC. My first time was definitely a smoother process than my second time. I was disappointed in the last minute "under writers" request as well as not being able to use the initial down payment that was planned.
Jerome's Tip: Do not assume that because you are a returning customer that you will get a great deal. Shop around.

Overall it was a great process with Bambi Wiggins and FBC. They made the process as easy as possible and informed me of options and what needed to be done and when it was required. Good job Bambi!!
Jason's Tip: The only helpful tip that I can advise on is estimated monthly payment and closing cost. When they estimated my monthly cost it was $1400 and when all was said and done my final monthly payment was $1650. So that was a little shock but understand it is due to insurance and taxes. The second is closing cost amount.

Team Wiggins did a very great full job of helping us during the whole experience, with advice, help and recommendations. They were 110% more helpful than acceptance mortgage will ever be.
Nicholas's Tip: Keep your credit cards to a bare minimum. Keep the ratios in your favor and keep your credit scores high.

From start to finish we were treated with the utmost of respect. Everything was explained to us. All of the employees returned our calls in a reasonable time. It was a great experience. It won't let me change branch location to Riverview, Florida. It has Louisville, Kentucky. All of our processing took place in Florida.
Rogers's Tip: Locate documents for past 7-10 years, any previous properties you own. Stay open and honest. Don't try to purchase anything during your loan process.

All was well until near closing when I kept getting switched to a new contact person every 6-7 days. Had to resend info because of th switch. Communication was lacking at closing, like trying to get the closing amount ( they told the title co that they would contact me with the amount due at close and they never did). It was 3 hrs until close and I had no info. Also, the closing was delayed because FBC wasn't ready. Why? No clue. All else was ok but it was hard with all the contact switching and the communication process. Otherwise, I don't have complaints.

I did a Construction to Perm Loan which as it turned out was quite extensive. There were questions included that I had never had to answer before. The banks and loan organizations are much more thorough in their quest for personal information than ever before.
