Good Refinance
I'm very pleased with the refinance we had with Home Loan Today - a lot better than some other companies we had before. Their rate was competitive. Loan Officer Anthony Edwards was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. The deal was closed on the exact day as planned. The only minor complaint is that the loan processor was not very responsive in acknowledging our submital of documents. (When you had sent in a whole bunch of docs, there is no word whether he received them or not--that's a little unsettling. I hope this can be improved

Great rate, no BS, and fast.
I started my refi search through Bankrate.com and compared it to the network lenders through Lendingtree.com. I was contacted by 5 lenders within the hour and was promised by 3 lenders that they were the biggest, the cheapest, the most experienced, the most blah-blah-blah… They promised this and that, but I noticed that none of them would commit to anything in writing. This was not the case with Anthony from Home Loans Today. He cut through the whole salesman scripted and just told me flat out what he could offer and quickly sent an email with a loan estimate and a request for my information to start the process. One other lender (American Interbanc) offered essentially the same offer but required an impound account for taxes and insurance, which increased the prepaid needed to close. As soon as I started uploading copies of our financials, Anthony locked the rate (I'm glad he did), and we closed about 20 days later. We had a little snag with our notary (a 3rd-party) who pre-notarized our documents before we saw or signed them. My wife, an attorney, had the notary cross out all her signatures and re-stamp/re-sign after we read and signed the documents. The point of a notary is the eliminate fraud, not create it. One other thing is that I felt like the refinance went smoothly because I recalled the process when we had our first loan. I had my hand held during that process four years ago, and felt like maybe my loan processor could have given me a time table of how much money and how to wire the closing costs, but it wasn't difficult for me to figure out on my own.

I decided to refinance after purchasing a house less than a year ago. Home Loans Today offered the best rate and lowest costs (zero cost, had I chosen a slightly higher rate). I found them on Bankrate, and received a call from my loan officer, Anthony Edwards, within minutes of submitting my info. Sometimes that can be annoying and most loan officers can be overly eager and too persistent, but I had a very pleasant fist conversation with Anthony, so in addition to Home Loans Today having the best rate, I felt very confident going with them. My entire experience was simply excellent - no need to go into the boring details - I would refinance with them again (although, I doubt I will ever get a better rate). Looking forward to paying my new mortgage which is $670/month less than my previous. Many thanks!!

I was very satisfied with the loan process. Communication with both Anthony, the loan officer, and Kelly, the loan processor, was excellent. Anthony was very helpful in setting up the loan and it was really a pleasure working with Kelly. The on-line portal for sending confidential information also worked well. There was more paperwork involved than I expected but this is more than likely routine now days. Closing was delayed but the loan officer and processor were not responsible for the delay. It was a result of very unprofessional delays on the part of the appraisers.
