My husband and I are incredibly pleased with working with Amanda during the process of purchasing a new home in Roseville. She bent over backwards to assist us. Amanda is not only very knowledgeable about what she does, but she is willing to think outside the box to find a solution that works for your particular situation and unique set of circumstances. I cannot say this for all lenders. In fact, Amanda had to educate our builder's lender who had to pre-qualify us. The builder’s lender denied us because of her lack of expertise in dealing with small businesses and her unwillingness to think just a little harder. If it wasn't for Amanda and her diligence, we would not even be in a situation to buy the home. Amanda is willing to roll up her sleeves to get the job done. She is hardworking, professional and good at what she does.

Amanda was great in staying on top of a ridiculously convoluted and time wasting process. It is clear that this process could be simplified and reduce 90% of the the paperwork and be executed in half the time.

Income and Expense Scrutiny
Amanda and her team provided the necessary support to help meet the demands of the lenders as well as the underwriter in scrutinizing both the sources of income as well as spending habits reflected in bank statements. Amanda was, at all times, the consummate professional. She helped turn a seemingly endless loop of requests into one that was tolerable and, in a manner consistent with the end objective.
Richard's Tip: As indicated, the process of obtaining a jumbo loan is fraught with traps for the unwary. You will need to have all of your tax returns, w-2s, as well income statements, bank statements and credit card balances and be prepared to dig deep in providing the document and evidence requested. I highly recommend Amanda for purposes of steering the ship through this process.

We've completed two transactions in the past year with Amanda Benson @ FBC Mortgage, a conforming + HELOC purchase and a jumbo re-fi on the same property. The experience was outstanding in all respects - open and regular communication, timeliness, providing options that were responsive to our needs - these were all part of our process. During our purchase transaction the title company made an error on the recording. Amanda spotted the issue after the loan had closed and offered to coordinate a correction, which she did at no extra cost. This was "above and beyond" service. We would highly recommend Amanda & FBC!
